I’m Capt. Rick, an independent, island born Bahamian guide who knows the "Bonefish Flats" around Green Turtle Cay, Abaco, Bahamas and other neighboring islands. I am licensed, and “IGFA" and “STCW” certified captain and guide. I have over 25 years experience guiding and charter fishing.
My passion for fly-fishing started in the 70's when I had the pleasure of guiding for baseball legend Ted Williams while staying aboard our family vessel "Mary Ann Kate". In the 90's, I also had the pleasure of guiding for Chad Foster of "Flyfishing Americas" and many others through out the fishing industry.
I am a guide that is dedicated to providing the best possible fishing experience, committed to ensuring client satisfaction. I am a skilled angler who knows the flats, the tides, and has a deep understanding of the bonefish and its behavior … ensuring a potential for a very high level of success and I will knowledgeably share my experience with my clients.
Choosing Your Guide
When choosing your guide, without a doubt, choose one who is licensed and is native born. You want one who does this full time and knows where the fish are, or works very hard to find them. Your guide should not be a part time guide; they are learning on your dime. When fly-fishing, you want a guide that will pole the boat to get you a shot at the fish; not stakeout, chum up and wait for the fish to show. You want a guide with experience and patience, a guide who can help teach a beginner no matter what the age or gender.

Leigh Thanks again to you, Capt. Rick, and to Marilyn for our great stay for a week in April/May 2009. Capt. Rick again was just superb in guiding myself, Bob Millette, and Robin and Kendall Henry. The weather was a bit of a factor this trip for a couple of the days but we still got some great bones. The stars were obviously aligned just right for me in getting the 15-8 bonefish that exceeds the 14-2 that I got with Rick in June 2007. What a rush. Hope I can see you folks again next year or the year after. All the best to you folks, and again thanks for the great fishing and hospitality.
